Client’s Need

The Client immediately needed legal support to defend her in the trials. Lisa’s guardian contacted Matthew, and he immediately took the case. The client was in stress and anxiety without knowing about the right step. We started guiding her from the very first stage of the case and told her not to give any statement to the police.

We took over all the legal procedures and started contacting the prosecution to learn about the prosecution’s strategy and create a psychological evaluation.

About The Case

Lisa was one of our clients who had been charged with drug trafficking in Miami. Surprisingly, she had no criminal record from the past. Police caught her with Oxycodone while she was on a cruise ship party.

She had 4 units of a controlled substance and one unit of a prescription drug without any prescription. Police arrested her on the basis of evidence caught on the spot and she would have to face a mandatory potential jail time from 3- 30 years.

Challenges In The Case

College Student Faces Drug Charges, Mandatory Jail, PTI.

As the client was caught with drugs in the cruise ship party, we were making a defense strategy on how to argue for it. The police reports were also quite clear with the quantity of drugs seized. There was more trouble, as Lisa was in college. It would directly affect her career and future. The primary challenges were:

  • Caught with Large Drug Amount.

Lisa was caught directly with the drugs, and the quantity was high.

  • Required Enrollment in PTI Program.

The client had to also take part in the mandatory PTI program.
